West Central Municipal Conference
In 1980, the West Central Municipal Conference (WCMC) was founded as the regional council of government. Today it serves 40 municipalities, 5 townships, 2 Community Colleges and the Brookfield Zoo within a region that is west of the City of Chicago and includes Eastern Du Page County. The WCMC provides services in a fiscally responsible manner that promotes the continuous improvement of local government in an effort to enhance the quality of life for its residents. The WCMC scope of activities includes intergovernmental cooperation, legislative advocacy, group purchasing, and informative training resources. Further, through the West Cook County Solid Waste Agency, we organize and provide household hazardous waste collection programs, regional disposal projects, and school education programs and services. By becoming an Affiliate Member, your business will have a great opportunity to network one-on-one with mayors, elected officials, and community leaders throughout the region.
Participation as an affiliate member is certainly no guarantee of any business access. Quite simply, by becoming an affiliate member, your business entity demonstrates support of local government and the notion of regionalism as a public value.
The Conference offers Affiliate Membership to any business/organization that supports the mission of the Conference (i.e. intergovernmental cooperation on matters of mutual concern). Annual dues for Affiliate Members will be categorized as follows: Platinum Member $2,500, Gold Member $1,500, and Silver Member $500. Members will receive WCMC meeting announcements and are welcome to attend all meetings and special events. Furthermore, you will become part of the West Cook family and receive our mailings, newsletters, recognition at our yearly events, and the possibility to be linked to our website at www.westcook.org. Additionally, you will receive recognition in the WCMC program distributed to hundreds at our annual installation of officer’s event.
